BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — It will be a much merrier Christmas for a disabled Vietnam veteran, after his attempt to purchase a home in Battle Creek on a land contract fell through.
Levi Jenkins thought he lost the home, which was foreclosed, but the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority picked up the property [and] will sell it to Jenkins for a dollar.
Jenkins says he’s planning renovations.
Jenkins not only served in the military, but served as a police officer, a private detective and trained security officers.
