The Calhoun County Land Bank Authority is taking applications for its Neighborhood Mow and Maintenance Program this year.

The program, which began last year, offers $3,000 seasonal stipends to participating organizations that mow and maintain 20 vacant properties from April to October. The funding has been used to help pay for neighborhood projects, youth group activities and nonprofit events, according to a news release.

Applications, available at the Land Bank’s office at 315 W. Green St., Marshall, and online, are due Feb. 10.

Groups are required to provide their own equipment, fuel and supplies.

More information can be found by contacting the land bank at 269-781-0777 or landbank@calhouncountymi.gov.
