Meeting to discuss downtown housing options

Consultants for a study on housing options in downtown Battle Creek will hold a public meeting Thursday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Burnham Brook Community Center, 200 W. Michigan Ave.

The event will include a presentation about downtown areas and will discuss existing and potential markets. Laurie Volk with Zimmerman/Volk Associates will conduct the meeting, during which she will provide information on the target market analysis and its goals.

The Calhoun County Land Bank Authority, along with city officials from Battle Creek and Albion, have partnered to conduct studies on potential downtown residential opportunities. The study is partially funded by a state grant.
