Krista Trout-Edwards – Executive Director
Krista Trout-Edwards, Executive Director, joined the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority in 2011 as part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP2) team and was appointed as Executive Director in 2013. She helped develop the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority’s mission and created the framework for its efforts in community stabilization and revitalization. Ms. Trout-Edwards works to promote the mission by partnering with local municipalities, and seeks to promote a broader community vision for Calhoun County Land Bank Authority activities. She leads efforts to fund activities through grant applications and provides oversight for ongoing grant programs. Ms. Trout-Edwards manages blight elimination projects throughout the County in collaboration with local municipalities. She has 17 years of experience and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Urban and Regional Planning. As part of her graduate studies, she completed a neighborhood study in Flint and an Ameri-Corps internship in Detroit. Previously, she served in Indiana as a County Planner for the Tippecanoe County Area Planning Commission.
Amy Rose Robinson – Property & Project Coordinator
Amy Rose Robinson, Property & Project Coordinator, joined the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority in 2014 and is focused on developing property rehabilitation programs designed to successfully return properties to private ownership in a manner that stabilizes neighborhoods. She also oversees maintenance efforts of Calhoun County Land Bank Authority holdings and is responsible for the evaluation, categorization and progress of those properties. Ms. Robinson manages grant-driven activities at the property level and acts as a liaison with community members and municipalities. Ms. Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. She brings over 17 years of grant project management experience in homeowner rehabilitation and supportive housing projects. Previously, she served as the Housing Manager for Community Action in Calhoun County and as the Business Manager for the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition.
Angela Whitesell – Office & Program Coordinator
Angela Whitesell, Office & Program Coordinator, joined the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority in 2014 to provide consistent and efficient administration of the efforts and activities of the organization. Ms. Whitesell oversees all administrative functions of the Land Bank, including property transfers and project tracking. She is the primary public point of contact for the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority and manages the Quiet Title program, the Side Lot program, Adopt-A-Lot program, and the Neighborhood Mow & Maintenance program. Ms. Whitesell holds a master’s degree from Michigan State University and has over 20 years of administrative experience. Previously, she was the Financial Administrator for Trinity Episcopal Church of Marshall, provided legal administrative support for a local attorneys’ office, and served as Zoning Administrator for Leroy Township, Tekonsha Village, and Tekonsha Township.
Mariah Monahan – Administrative Assistant
Mariah Monahan joined the Land Bank in 2020 as Administrative Assistant and provides support to all aspects of the Land Bank organization, assisting in smooth running of daily operations and processes. She brings previous experience from within County government having previously worked in the Courts at the Justice Complex and has a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University.
